It has already been 3 months since our first newsletter edition, and we have been working hard in assisting with many steel frame solutions for a wide range of commercial and residential projects.

In this newsletter I would like to introduce to you our high quality and reliable SmartSteel software system. It has been extensively used in steel framing manufacturing plants across the world for the past 20 years. This means that the system has been rigorously tested and proven to perform.

SmartSteel Software
 
The SmartSteel software system is the only steel framing software package to be entirely self-certifed and audited in accordance with the ABCB Protocol for Structural Software. This means that additional engineering sign off is not required for trusses and wall frames within the limits defined by the Protocol, thereby saving you time and money.
 
 
As the SmartSteel software system produces a framing system that is efficient, optimum in steel use, yet is structurally sound. This is because all truss connections designed and wall frames detailed in the software are based on test data from BlueScope Steel's NATA accredited laboratory and not just based on calculations. Truss member designs are verified by testing.
 
In addition, the use of structural steel has been minimised due to the inclusion of girder truss designs and trussed headers in wall frames.

As the framing system is fully tested in BlueScope Steel's NATA accredited laboratory, it is efficient in steel yet still structurally sound. Pre- punched service holes makes drilling holes a thing of the past and allows easy installation of electrical and plumbing fit-out. Our nogging system gives our wall frames rigidity, making handling wall frames on site simple - you'll have no more worries about bending frames. Most importantly, the SmartSteel FRAMES building method comes complete with comprehensive installation manuals and videos to assist builders in installing frames onsite.
